KB Toys looking to fill the Toys R Us void this holiday season

Hey 90’s kids! Remember KB Toys? Yeah, we do too. If you miss heading to the mall and shopping around in these stores, good news: they might just be coming back this holiday season!

CNN reported in a recent article that KB Toys is looking to open 1,000 pop up stores this holiday season! The KB Toys brand is currently owned by Strategic Marks, a company that apparently makes a habit of buying up and reviving defunct brands.

With the recent shutdown of the iconic toy giant Toys R Us, there’s a big gap left in the market, with many toys that now have no home.

The re-opening of KB Toys won’t be a permanent staple in your toy-buying needs, but it sounds like they’ll be around for Black Friday and the holiday season. Much like other pop-up stores, such as Spirit of Halloween, KB probably won’t be around for more than a month or two, but it’ll be a great trip down memory lane for anyone who grew up with a store near them.

As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts. Will you be shopping KB Toys this holiday season, or just sticking with Amazon? Let us know in the comments, or on Facebook or Twitter.
