Fortnite’s Meteor has finally crashed

After a long period of apocalyptic preaching, the time has finally come for impact!

After spending every couple of years dealing with another “the world is ending, no, for real this time” scenario here in the real world, it’s nice to see that predictions can come true, at least in video games.

There’s been talk for a while now about the meteor flying over the map in Fortnite’s Battle Royale. When would it land? Where would it land? Why is Gamora? Was it even going to land at all? At long last, we have our answer.

Fortnite

Welcome to the crash site. Once the home of Dusty Depot is now a Men In Black-looking site with some edible rocks that let you defy gravity. Wait, what? Ok, that’s actually pretty cool, unfortunately it’s a bit hard to have any fun in your new, reduced gravity state when everyone and their mother is landing there, ready to greet you with rapid-fire anal probes of lead.

Only time will tell what’s next for Fortnite, but as season four begins one thing is certain: this is just the beginning for Battle Royale games.
