Hey. Happy Tuesday. You want news? We’ve got news. Here’s last week’s This Week in Gaming rundown.
Hello! It’s good to be back in the swing of things after our Extra Life weekend. Join me for some great news, would you?
With the recent rise and success of indie games on the market, it’s no surprise that more and more game developers are looking to bring their dreams to life for others to enjoy.
This week I had the opportunity to sit down with a local indie game developer, Denzel Weatherspoon of Dennel Cake and a game development student at Fitchburg State University, to talk about his upcoming release: Obsolete Souls.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp looks like the mobile social experience that today’s mobile gamer is looking for. Let’s take a look at some of the discussed features, as well as some speculation!
It seems like game-to-film adaptations have become much more popular as of late. With the release of Ratchet and Clank, Assassin’s Creed, Warcraft… angry birds… So it’s no big surprise that film makers will soon be gracing the silver screen with one of gaming’s biggest fanboy series: Tomb Raider.
Virtual reality for the Everyman
With every new generation of gaming comes a few new gadgets and fads. With the seventh generation we saw the move to motion controls. Sony released the Sixaxis controller and later the PlayStation Move, Microsoft went the way of the Kinect camera system, and Nintendo led the charge with the Wiimote and Wii motion plus.
How often do you wish you could have the body of Kratos? Maybe with more of a tan and with less facial paint or tattoos, but those abs… right? Or have you ever looked at Marcus Fenix and thought to yourself “Wow he definitely never skips leg day…” Anyone ever looked at Zero Suit Samus and wish they looked that good in a one piece jumpsuit? Perhaps you’ve thought of hitting a gym… no wrong kind of gym you don’t get a badge for this one. You think Mario ever looks at his brother Green Mario and wishes he was maybe a little taller and thinner like him?
A family in need of healing.
Zack Snyder is stepping back from Justice League and letting Joss Whedon take the reins for now to allow him time with his children after the suicide of his daughter.
Most details are being kept private for obvious reasons but Zack wanted to let the masses know why he was doing this. He stated that he knew stories would pop up on the internet if he didn’t give an explanation and at this point he doesn’t care anymore what is said because the healing of his other children, his wife, and himself are more important.
“You know how to talk to fish right?”
Anyone who knows anything about comics, especially DC, knows that the laughing stock of the Justice League lineup is Aquaman. The man who can talk to fish right? Well, not quite. With the upcoming JL movie on the way later this year I figured I would give a quick recap of the man and his feats.
We got tired of wading through pages and pages of advertisements to see other websites’ list of sexy game ladies, so we made our own! Here are the YeahDude picks for the top ten sexiest women in gaming (in no particular order)!
